Sorry, forgot to change the water that's why the blog's stagnant... The past week was really busy, having late nights with no coffee. Not that I want to drink mud anyway. And during the week long hiatus, the tags have accumulated and it's not practical to reply in the tagboard. Then I had a 'clever' idea. Why not use the space for posting to reply? Okay, either my memory was zapped away by an alien or I'm being brainwashed by a washing machine because that's what everybody's doing!
Okay, so here's the tag replies, you can skip it though, because that's what I always do unless I tagged the blogger. I specially made it greyish so it'll not be so visible to who didn't tagged, lols.

This article is from Today, Thursday January 09, 2009, it's a letter written in by Ho Kong Loon. The length of the it sets it apart from neighbouring articles which are lengthy and rather irrelevant to my environment. As they say, do not judge a book by it's cover; the article is flooded with alien words like - honchos, plethora and laxity. Like what's honchos? A cousin of poncho? Plethora sounds like a name, of a girl or a plant, I don't know. And laxity seems like a synonym for fats! Actually, honcho is a leader, plethora is abundance and and laxity is the state of being lax, not fat.Is school in the 50s 'lots of fun, play, peer interaction' (as stated in the article)? I thought I heard all about psycho teachers whacking and smacking? Okay, maybe that's a little extreme... But even so, times have changed. Even if class in the 50s is indeed all fun and play, it isn't the 50s now right? It's the 20th Century, people think differently of the laminated 80 gsm paper now. And that wretched paper is most likely going to direct your working life. It's rather amazing that the humble part of a tree can have such an impact on our lives and more often than not people succumb to the power of that paper and it is definitely possible to take charge of our own lives instead of letting the dead thing lord us. But of course, it'll be a lot of hard work - that goes without saying.
And in today's edition of Today, a former Television Corporation of Singapore journalist Subana Hall replied to the previous article. It's at page 26, Voices section.
Let's end this midnight post with a cute picture I thought wouldn't be possible in Singapore.

I was complaining to mel today about how the New Year Resolutions are sooo depressing, especially at the end of the year. She asked me what are my 2009's Resolutions and because of the failure to achieve 2008's, I've lost the motivation to set new ones or even reuse the old ones. While I was surfing the net in the afternoon, I stumbled upon an article from www.billygraham.org and found it meaningful and inspiring. This article is titled "Three New Year's Resolutions … to Keep" - something I need quite badly.
The first is to Live Generously - to be generous with your time, your forgiveness, your gift and talents God gave. Live generously, and God's love will be evident in your life. The second one is to Reflect All Year Long. Because we do not constantly reflect, we forget about our resolutions and we neglect them. And that's how the end-year-depression came about. We should reserve a timeslot each day to pray and ask God to show us the kind of person he wants us to be. (refer to James 1:22-25, can be found in the article) The third and last one is to Grow Closer To God. When we learn and memorize verses from the Bible, it opens up the opportunity for God's wisdom to take hold in your life; so it's not just raw memorization. (refer to Proverbs 7:2-3, can be found in the article) Another way is to spend time daily with Him, “Come near to God and He will come near to you” (James 4:8). The article also mentioned about Intercessory prayer, which is to pray for others. Praying for others sets free God's power in their lives—what a beautiful gift!
3 resolutions, 10 words. God Bless for the year ahead!
The article can be found here.
Okay, now for JNCO. Due to the limited vocabulary capacity, I can only say that it was crazy. But even though it was tough, God still preserved (保守) me and that can be seen with the miracles that may seem small to you but are huge to me. First, I woke up late. I was supposed to wake up at like 5 plus but woke up at 6 plus in the end. (I can't confirm that the details are accurate because it's quite blurry now already.) Thank God I reached there like 10 minutes before the fall in time! I can't believe I'm on time (lah)! I'm so convinced that I'm late and heading straight for punishment and you can imagine the relief that engulfed me when I saw the rest sitting at the canteen. (Prepare yourself for the second one) The second one - I forgot to bring my toothbrush. Yeah, toothbrush! I was rushing out from home and forgot my toothbrush. Well, guess what happened then? It's really a miracle, Melissa's booking out on that night and she gave me her new toothbrush. Wow! Thank God! Or else I wouldn't know what will happen to me. I've learnt alot from the camp and I'm not that afraid of 'red alerts' now, except for the changing part. Red Alerts are like fire drills, only it's mock injuries. But I guess it won't end, because there's foot drill MOI, first aid MOI and SNCO.
:(
But have I not witnessed and went through God's preservation?
