Anderson Primary's Indian New Year Concert - 17.04.09

Initially, we went to APS to learn photography cos benjamin's teaching and we tagged along. Then, it was cancelled. But, there's a concert and we stayed on to gain experience and learn while shooting too. I can safely say that it was a fruitful trip and certainly not a waste of time.

Then, this cute boy with his front tooth missing came and asked jo & ben what to do. Obviously they didn't know what to do too. Wait, did they even get what the boy's trying to say? I remembered the boy showing his tooth in a ziploc bag, the sterile gauze and a bunch of papers to them, helplessly trying to get his message across. But, the two just went on to rave about how cute he was without his tooth and a red gauze wedged in between his teeth, totally ignoring the poor child's cry for help. Jo totally ignored him and started taking a photo of him and she's caught in the act! (see photo)

I took a photo too, lol. He's wayy cuter in real life. See that red gauze? He has this irritated face cos we were all busy taking photos of him instead of listening!

Okay, this one and the next is taken by ben - the rest is taken by me, with ben's cool-cool-mega-ultra-duper-cool dslr. These girls are cute! One looks like xiao wan zhi and the other a young ang moh, haha.

first aid course is over!

It went on quite smoothly, not as bad as I thought it might be. But the theory paper is really difficult and worse still, I had no motivation or whatsoever to absorb. Looking on the bright side, (this will sound really corny but) I enjoyed teaching my part. Shocking, right? Wait, before you start imagining me in a sad school 24/7 stuck with a bunch of boring kids, you need to know that I do not aspire to be a teacher although I did once. The job is way too stressful, especially in secondary schools. If that's the last job on earth, I'll probably be queueing up in the primary/ preschool line. (the secondary school line would probably be infested by flies) Why do teachers want to be teachers? And no, I'm not contradicting myself, I enjoyed teaching but I will not enjoy doing it fulltime, all year round, for the whole of my life.

Finally finished the first aid course powerpoint. (Sigh.) I realised that I can't really handle stress but thank God, it's always like after a while if I cry (big confession okay.) or something, then the stress will not be so bad. It isn't good, is it? Anyway, stressful tasks keep coming my way, first is common tests, then FPS then now, FA course. Looking on the bright side, I think God is moulding me into a person who can handle stress better. (: I am definitely dealing with it better than I am last year.

And during video club yesterday, we were playing with benjamin's dslr. FREAKING-out-of-the-world-FUN! Love the shutter sound, snap, snap. Can play with it for a whole month, man. Me and Jo took like over 300 photos, lol.

LOVE IT!
